Welcome to currentcare, Rhode Island’s Health Information Exchange (HIE).

currentcare is a secure electronic network that uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure that authorized health care providers can access their patients’ most up-to-date health information in an integrated view through a web-based portal.

Initially, currentcare will include laboratory information from Lifespan, East Side Clinical, and Department of Health laboratories.Eventually, currentcare will include additional types of health information like radiology reports, discharge summaries and prescriptions.
